Jake Jarratt is an emerging artist based in the North-East of England. He makes contemporary theatre based on current issues, creating work that challenges and celebrates northern identities.

Jake also collaborates with other artists and organisations within the region. Most recently, he performed alongside Andrea Scrimshaw at Live Theatre’s Elevator Festival 2018, with their work-in-progress Two Heads, One Shirt. In Spring 2019, he will perform at the festival once again, this time collaborating with Cameron Sharp on their new-writing piece Wank Buddies.

Alongside performance, Jake is also a drama facilitator. He is currently working with local authorities and community groups to deliver a variation of drama and theatre workshops. In 2018, Jake will be working with Durham County Council, delivering workshops in schools and communities as part of their P's in a Pod project.

 

Jake has recently been accepted onto Northern Stage's North Company Development Programme. Here, he will work alongside Andrea, taking their work-in-progress to the next stages of development.
