Blokes, Fellas, Geezers

Written and Performed by Jake Jarratt

Blokes, Fellas, Geezers at Queens Hall Arts Centre.

Somewhere in rural North East England, Jake is discovering what type of person he wants to become.

The men around him make it known that as a bloke, "You don't let anyone give you any jip. If someone is going to punch you, make sure you punch them twice as hard. And then have a pint" with his Fatha being the go-to man for this type of stuff.

Jake realises he isn't his Fatha. And his Fatha soon realises that he isn't Jake.

This one-person show tells the story of what it's like to inherit your working class masculinity.

Northern Echo - "Moments of great humour mingle with deep soul searching, all cleverly told by Jake.

North East Reviews - "Blokes, Fellas, Geezers is a bold and honest debut show which is instantly relatable and exuberantly performed. Here’s to more of the same from Jake in the future."

Audience Feedback - "really fantastic show- funny, moving and made you think, perfect theatre! such a clever use of set aswell, loved it!"
